01 Reference
Find a reel in your niche that already lands with the audience. Povu keeps its structure and swaps in your content. Nothing needs setting up first.
What this step does
The Reference page has three tabs, in order:
- Positioning: paste your Instagram profile, website, any social URL, upload screenshots or clips, or just write a few lines. This is your footprint, shared across the account and filled once. Press "Find topics".
- Topics: the AI turns your footprint into a nine-cell grid, ranked by how well each topic hits your audience. Open a cell to get Instagram search keywords. Copy one, search Instagram, find a reel that works, copy its link.
- Reels: paste the link back. The rest is automatic: download → transcribe → break down the structure → write the mirrored script → strip the AI tone.
What you get
One card per reel, carrying:
- The original's structure chain: hook type → section order → CTA type, plus the transcript (collapsible)
- The mirrored script in five parts: Hook → Build-Up → Value Bomb → Proof → CTA. Structure and pacing follow the original; every line is yours, nothing is copied.
The script only quotes facts it knows are yours: what you answered in Story, and brand data crawled from your footprint. A specific number or example it cannot vouch for is left as a 〔blank〕 for you to fill. Every blank has to be filled before the script can become a video.
Prerequisites
None. You get a script without a clone and without a single Story answer. The difference: the more Story you have answered, the more facts the script quotes and the fewer blanks it leaves.
Things you will use
- Script language and target platform (LinkedIn / Facebook / Instagram / YouTube / TikTok) can be switched on any card and regenerated. An Instagram reel can produce a LinkedIn version: the five parts stay, only how each is written changes.
- One account can hold several reference projects. A new audience means a new project; the old one stays, switch with the dropdown at the top of the page.
- "Saved videos" lists every reel across your projects, grouped by category.
- The "Povu example" cards on the wall are prebuilt, finished cards, so you can see what one looks like before you have your own.
Questions
How do I paste from a phone? Next to each keyword there is "Copy and open Instagram", which jumps straight to the Instagram search. Copy the link there, come back to Povu, paste.
What if I paste the same reel twice? Two reels, two scripts. Nothing is de-duplicated.
The reel failed to transcribe? Without a transcript there is no structure to mirror; the card says why. Try another reel.
